As a seasoned conflict resolution professional, I specialize in helping organizations, schools, and communities navigate complex interpersonal challenges. With a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University and over a decade of experience across the U.S. and internationally, I’ve developed expertise in mediation, conflict coaching, and restorative practices.
Through my work at Akouo Consulting, I’ve facilitated over 1,500 hours of mediation, conflict coaching, and stakeholder training across New York, Michigan, Louisiana, California, and Brazil. My approach is rooted in creating neutral, informal, and confidential environments that foster open communication and effective resolution. Whether it’s guiding schools to implement social-emotional learning programs, consulting on high-profile community disputes, or working with educators to de-escalate classroom conflicts, I’m passionate about empowering people with the tools they need to manage and resolve conflicts.
I’ve partnered with organizations such as the New York State Unified Court System, the NYC Department of Education, and various nonprofits to deliver impactful conflict resolution services. In addition to my consulting work, I’ve held roles as a Behavioral Specialist at Everett High School, where I supported students and staff in resolving issues through confidential problem-solving discussions.
I’m dedicated to promoting healthier, more communicative environments and always looking for new opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and bring lasting peace to the spaces I work in. Connect with me to discuss how we can work together to address your conflict resolution needs.

Before I talked to Adah, I was just in this bubble that was getting me upset. After me and Adah spoke, I felt relieved because someone was actually listening to me, and some of the things I told Adah, l've never told anyone. I felt like I could vent to her without her judging me. I would recommend her to others because she makes me feel wanted and comfortable to talk to about my feelings.
I was not feeling well. I felt very defeated and lost. After talking to Adah, I felt more better, more confident, and prouder of who l am. She gave a very apt and genuine response and [would] be comforting for those who feel unheard due to her active listening and note taking. Overall, she was wonderful. 10/10 would love to talk to her again.
I like talking to Ms. Adah because she's so easy to talk to, and understanding. She helps me understand both sides of the situation before I jump into conclusions.
I've seen you help so many kids here, you've helped them go through some of the most difficult times of their life.
We live in a world saturated with labels. Sometimes those labels get in the way of addressing the real issues. Labels name the symptoms. We co-create a dialog where you feel trust, comfort, and safety, allowing you to explore and confront parts of yourself that may have created behaviors and actions and have a set of beliefs and values that contradict what you want at the core.
We Address Underlying Issues
"When... someone really hears you without passing judgement on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mold you, it feels damn good!
The more we connect with the feelings and needs behind their words, the less frightening it is to open up to other people.
